The Anger Games: Dems Pop a Vein
There is the Traymon Martin case, of course, with mobs set raging by the likes of Al Sharpton, but the anger on the Left goes much further back than that. Remember Hillary Clinton's snarky comment about "stay(ing) home to bake cookies"? Jeremiah Wright's vicious screeds against "G.. D... America!" The fact that Prof. William Ayers wanted to, well, blow things up?
And those are just the high points. Or the low. The truth is you can tune in to MSNBC at any hour of any day, turn the sound off, and get a whopping dose of liberal anger just by reading the Chyron captions scrolling beneath whoever happens to be raving on screen at the moment.
"The Justice Department sues Apple for conspiring to push up e-book prices," ran just now. "Mommy Wars." Oh, "Planned Parenthood sues Texas for barring participation in state program that provides contraception & check-ups," just rolled by. They're certainly even-tempered: mad all the time.
And that doesn't even get into the Hollywood branch of the Left, which in its obscene Tweets, drunken quotes, and all too sober "comedy" routines makes sailors on shore leave look like a Salvation Army street band.
Here's Alec Baldwin on Twitter earlier today: "Andrea Peyser, you are as bad a writer as you are filled with self-hatred. Go back to Langan's and bring a Strunk and White." No telling what that was about, but I'm betting it wasn't genuine editorial feedback.
